More than just a cafe.
Café on the Park is not just a café it’s also a social enterprise. We rely on our amazing participants and volunteers to keep the wheels in motion. We do all the cooking on site so we can provide fresh, nutritious, affordable food for the community. Every time you come into the café you are not only supporting your local café you are also supporting the people that live in your community. We provide training for people wanting to re-enter the work force but we also provide people a sense of belonging and the opportunity to rebuild their confidence through social engagement. We do more than just hand your coffee to you. We provide a space for people of all ages and abilities to learn, be part of team and experience that social inclusion which sometimes we lack in our lives.

Closure Notice
Due to the recent announcement from the Victorian Government, Victoria will be entering a snap 5 day lock down commencing 11:59pm on Thursday 15th July until 11:59pm on Tuesday 20th July.
As a result of the announcement, Glen Park Community Centre and Cafe on the Park will be closed during this time. Please note the dates listed above may change with further announcements, and Glen Park Community Centre and Cafe on the Park will be closed for the duration of the lock down.

Free Community Meals
Cafe on the Park are excited to annouce that we will be back hosting our monthly FREE Community Meals for all members of our community in 2021. Come down and enjoy some food, create friendships and help promote social inclusion.
The Community Meals will happen on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, commencing 17th February 2021. Meals are served at 6:00pm sharp and are limited to 30 places, bookings are not necessary.
The Community Meals are prepared by a fully qualified chef with over 27 years' experience in the hospitality industry. Our meals are nutritious and DELICIOUS!

Free Community Pantry
The Community Pantry was designed to assist the most vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our local community. Glen Park's Social Enterprise Cafe - Cafe on the Park, works tirelessly to ensure your Community Pantry is stocked full of personal hygiene items, perishable and non-perishable items of food, such as fresh fruit, veggies, bread, meat, eggs and so much more.
The Community Pantry will be operating on a fortnightly basis in 2021, commencing Tuesday 9th February. For a full list of Community Pantry dates, please contact the office on (03) 9720 5097 or office@glenparkcc.com.au
Membership eligibility criteria applies:
- Resident in Bayswater, Bayswater North or Boronia
- Holder of current concession card (health care card, pension card etc)
- Homeless or at risk of being homeless
- Recipient of income support from Centrelink
If you don't fall into the abovementioned eligibility criteria but still need access to the pantry and believe you should be eligible, please let us know by contacting us on (03) 9720 5097, dropping in and having a chat or sending us through an email.
