As you would be very aware, the current Victorian State Road Map allows for some businesses to open to provide services to the public from 11.59pm Thursday 21st October 2021 with further businesses to open on or around the 5th of November 2021. Glen Park Community Centre and Café on the Park will be opening in line with the Victorian Road Map on Tuesday 9th November 2021.
The current position is that any member of the public attending a Council venue, including a community house, must be double vaccinated (unless medically exempt or age-group exempt) to meet the Chief Health Officer Directions.
At present, restrictions regarding community facilities including neighbourhood houses are:
- 70% of 16+ fully vaccinated - Confirmed date: 11.59pm 21 October 2021:
- Fully vaccinated: Outdoor only, DQ4 50 cap
- Hosting an essential public support service permitted
- Permitted for groups of 10 for essential support (vaccinated status does not apply).
- Can remain open ‘click and collect’
- 80% of 16+ fully vaccinated - Indicative date: 5 November 2021:
- Fully vaccinated: Indoors DQ4 and 150 cap, outdoors DQ2 500 cap
- Permitted for groups of 10 for essential support (vaccinated status does not apply)
At present, restrictions regarding adult education are:
- 70% of 16+ fully vaccinated - Confirmed date: 11.59pm 21 October 2021: Must learn from home, on-site learning for hands-on, skills-based learning. Final exams to proceed enabled by APAW List.
- 80% of 16+ fully vaccinated - Indicative date: 5 November 2021: Learn from home if you can, on-site learning for hands-on, skills-based learning AND, On-site if you are fully vaccinated, DQ4.
Glen Park Community Centre will require everyone to wear a face mask before entering the building and report to reception upon arrival. Everyone will be directed to the appropriate allocated space where they will be asked to check in using the Service Victoria QR Code and verify vaccination status by presenting their Covid-19 Digital certificate to the Covid safe officer for that area. Where vaccination or an eligible exemption cannot be provided entry cannot be permitted.
