Glen Park Community Centre

Welcome

Glen Park Community Centre is a non-profit organization managed by a volunteer Committee of Management. We meet once a month at the centre and subcommittees of interest are formed as necessary.
Our current vibrant and enthusiastic committee members are always eager to welcome new faces. Why not come along to one of our meetings to meet us and find out what being on a community
centre Committee of Management is all about. Be a part of your local Bayswater Community.

Committee meets on the 3rd Monday at 7.30pm.

If you would like to be placed on our mailing list, please feel free to email us and request email or mail updates.

Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteers are crucial to our daily operations and are highly valued team members.

Volunteering offers people the opportunity to engage in rewarding and fulfilling work while giving back to the community.  It’s also a great way to update or learn new skills.

We currently need assistance in the following areas:

Café
Office
Classrooms
Brochure design

Our Men's Shed is a place where men can connect with their communities.  We are looking for volunteers who are handy in the wood work department to join us.  Please call Peter Harris for further details on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Please contact the centre for more information on 9294 7525

Cafe on the Park

During our redevelopment, our Cafe on the Park will be closed.

We will though have a brand new Cafe opening soon, so we look forward to seeing you then.

Facilities and Community Use

Glen Park has excellent facilities to meet the diverse needs of community groups and businesses. The following groups meet regularly here: Baywsater Rotary, EACH, Scope, Studi-o Dance, Bayswater\Yarra Valley Lodge.

Testimonials

Glen Park has given me the confidence to paint.  I was always interested in painting but didn't know how to start.  I enrolled in the artstream class with Alan Close 6 years ago.  I learnt about every medium and began to paint at home too.  So 6 years on, I have a successful business in art and have sold over 60 pieces - some at art shows, on the internet and to friends and friends of friends.

At the start of this year I wanted to give something back - so I started volunteering at Glen Park but still they are the ones that give.  I have received so much from Glen Park and each day when I get in my car to leave, I have a full heart.

Coming to Glen Park Community Centre in Bayswater North has opened my eyes to a whole new wonderful side of the community.  There is a beautiful atmosphere and warm and friendly staff to assist you.

It has a real community feel and anyone is welcome.

During my year at Glen Park, I have loved and enjoyed working with the nicest people one could ever meet.  It is a place where anyone can join in from all walks of life.

My two days a week of volunteering gives me great satisfaction.
